SACRED UMBRIA BETWEEN EREMI AND MIRACLES

1st day: Spoleto
Arrival in Spoleto and short visit of the city. Arrangement in hotel, dinner and night.
2nd day: Norcia and Preci
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Norcia for visit of the Basilica di San Benedetto, founder of the Benedictine Order and patron of Europe. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon continuing to Preci, where will be visited the ancient Abbey of Sant'Eutizio, where San Benedetto used to go. Return in hotel for dinner and night.
3rd day: Cascia and Roccaporena
Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Cascia, indissolubly tied to Santa Rita and guided visit of the homonymous Basilica and of the city. Lunch in restaurant. During the afternoon continuing to Roccaporena, native village of Santa Rita. Beyond the natal house and the maritale house of the Saint, will be visited the Garden of the miracle where, during winter, only few days before her death, flourished flowers and fruits. Also interesting to visit in Roccaporena is the Scoglio della Preghiera, where the Saint retired in solitude. Return in hotel for dinner and night.
4th day: Assisi and Monte Corona
After breakfast, transfer to Assisi for a guided visit of Basilica di San Francesco, Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli and Porziuncola. Lunch in restaurant. During the afternoon transfer to Monte Corona, with the homonymus Abbey, the Chiesa di San Salvatore and Eremo di San Romualdo. Return in hotel for dinner and night.
5th day: Vallingegno, Città di Castello and La Verna
Breakfast in hotel. Short stop in Vallingegno (with a nice castle and the Abbey immersed in the green), place where San Francesco used to have a stop before reach La Verna. Continuing to Città di Castello and visit the Chiesa di San Francesco. Lunch in restaurant. During the afternoon arrival in La Verna and visit of Santuario and Eremo. Finish of the services.
